Background

The name Taskmaster has been synonymous with integrated high- performance steel doorsets since 1983. Over the years Taskmaster doors have earned a reputation for quality, durability and value for money, able to satisfy a diverse array of customer needs.

Today, we still manufacture doorsets using the same philosophy. Single source supply of door-leaves, frames, and coordinated architectural ironmongery, to suit each project’s individual performance requirements.

All doorsets are made to order, predominately from one of two main product lines: Taskmaster S-SERIES flush-metal doorsets, or Taskmaster T-SERIES tubular glazed steel doors, screens and entrance systems.

Taskmaster doorsets are suitablefor a wide range of commercial applications. Typical projects undertaken include windfarms, London Underground stations, Network Rail projects, sports arenas, police stations, prisons, hospitals and automotive plants, as well as business and retail parks, public buildings and manufacturing facilities.

Taskmaster doorsets are certificated to meet the highest standards. By selecting Taskmaster, in addition to conformance with the latest regulatory requirements, you can be assured of achieving the latest product, fire, security, acoustic and thermal performance standards.

Reasons To Choose Taskmaster

Proud to be independent and privately owned, our objective is to provide technical expertise, coupled with innovative product solutions.

Our modern manufacturing plant is located in central Birmingham, from where we manufacture doors using the latest technology. This ensures we have total control over the quality of our products and enables us to process our customers’ requirements efficiently.

From specification to installation, we work closely with our customers to ensure that their needs are understood, and that ultimately, the products supplied are exactly what is needed. A dedicated contracts engineer is assigned to each project to provide customer support every step of the way, from developing initial specifications, through to delivery and site installation.

1. Compliance with the latest product standards

As a member of the Door and Hardware Federation (DHF) – the body which represents the UK’s leading door and hardware companies, we are committed to uphold and support their work and values.

Through strictly policed membership criteria, the Federation is focused on furthering the use of metal doorsets via the promotion of good practice and high standards within the industry.

A strict code of practise governs the activities of all members. In addition to requirements for all members to observe high standards of workmanship, and to ensure that products supplied are fit for purpose, the Federation requires its members to have achieved the latest product standards relevant to the commercial door market.

2. Controlled Factory Assembly

The latest CAD/CAM technology and 3D modelling software is then used to ensure that the product is configured correctly and will interface perfectly with the fabric of the building.

The manufacturing process includes factory assembly and testing, to ensure accuracy and correct function prior to dispatch.

3. Be confident about quality

Taskmaster doors are manufactured under an ISO 9001:2008 quality system. This commitment demonstrates our objective to meet, and exceed, our customers’ expectations by producing top quality products coupled with excellent service. We strive to continually improve our processes and our products, and to comply with the latest legislative and regulatory requirements at all times.

4. Project Management

We are happy to provide all the help and advice you need, at any stage. We are experienced in handling contracts of all sizes, from single doorset orders to those of a thousand doors or more. Whatever your requirements, you can be confident that our team have the capability to manage your project to a successful conclusion.

5. Installed to perform

Doorsets may not meet their claimed performance if installed incorrectly. Taskmaster installation teams are third party certified for the correct installation of fire, acoustic and security doorsets.

6. Looking after the environment

In addition to the green attributes of our products, we recognise that our activities, processes and services affect the environment. With this in mind we are committed to reducing the impact of our activities, and wherever possible, minimizing waste outputs from our manufacturing processes.

By choosing to manufacture in the UK, we are keeping long-distance transport emissions to a minimum. Our deliveries are carefully planned to maximize efficiency and, as we work towards the 14001 Environmental Management standard, our office and manufacturing waste outputs are carefully monitored.

As an organisation, we are fully committed to the continual improvement of our performance. With this in mind, we are constantly looking at new, more energy efficient processes, ways to use less water and produce fewer emissions. We’re also committed to training our staff to make sure they’re aware of their environmental responsibilities.
